Connect With a Support Technician

Setting up Mail for Mac OS X.

  1. Open Mac OS X Mail.
  2. Select Mail -> Preferences from the menu.

Mail Preferences

  1. Click on the “Accounts” tab, and then click on the “+” in the lower left of the window.

Account Information

  1. Select “POP” from the drop down menu.
  2. Enter a description for your account.
  3. Enter your name and e-mail address in the spaces provided.
  4. Click “Continue”.

General Information

  1. In the “Incoming Mail Server” field, enter mail.idmi.net.
  2. In the “User Name” field, enter your full e-mail address.
  3. Enter your password in the “Password” field.
  4. Click “Continue”.

Incoming Mail Server

  1. In the “Outgoing Mail Server” field, enter mail.idmi.net.
  2. Check the box next to “Use Authentication”.
  3. Enter your full e-mail address in the “User Name” field.
  4. Enter your password in the “Password” field.
  5. Click “Continue”.

Outgoing Mail Server

  1. A summary of your account information will appear. Click “Continue” then “Done”.

Account Summary

  1. Select Mail -> Preferences from the menu.
  2. Click on the "Accounts" tab and then click the "Server Settings" button.
  3. Enter "587" in the "Server port" field.
  4. Click "OK".
  5. Close the "Accounts" window.
  6. If asked to save, click the "Save" button.
