Entering Your Password into Mac OS X Mail

  1. Open Mac OSX Mail.
  2. Select Mail -> Preferences from the menu.

  1. Click the "Accounts" tab.
  2. Clear the "Password" field and enter the new password.

  1. From the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" drop-down menu, select "Edit Server List".

  1. Click the "Advanced" button.
  2. Clear the "Password" field and enter the new password.

  1. Click "OK" and then close the "Accounts" window. When prompted to save, click "OK".
