Setting up Outlook 2000 for Windows.
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2000.
- Select Tools -> Accounts from the menu.
- Click on the “Mail” tab.
- Click on the “Add” button and select “Mail” from the menu that appears.

- Enter your name in the space provided and click “Next”.

- Enter your full e-mail address in the space provided and click “Next”.

- Select “POP3” from the drop-down menu.
- Enter mail.idmi.net in the space provided for both the incoming and outgoing e-mail servers and click “Next”.

- Enter your full e-mail address in the “Account Name” field.
- Enter the password you were provided in the “Password” field and click “Next”.

- Select the appropriate connection from the list that appears and click “Next”.

- Click the “Finish” button.

- The e-mail account you just created should now appear on the list of accounts in the “Internet Accounts” dialog box. Select the account and click “Properties”.

- In the window that appears, click on the “Servers” tab.
- On the bottom of the window is a check box that states, “My server requires authentication”. Check this box and then click the “Settings” box next to it.

- In the window that appears, make sure that the “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” radio is selected and click “OK”.

- Click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Change the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" port from "25" to "587".
- Click “OK” and then “Close”.
