For the protection of all of our customers, messages going through our system are restricted to a maximum of 50 valid recipients. Also, no more than 4 of said addresses may be invalid (nonexistent/incorrect). Any message that violates either of those restrictions results in the IP address of the originating message being blocked for 1 hour. During that time no mail may be sent from that IP address.
In addition, no unsolicited messages/advertisements (spam) may be sent through our mail service. We are obligated to investigate any complaints made against our customers, and to suspend or cancel service if spam is found to be originating from them.
To ensure uninterrupted service for all our email customers: If messages that are considered spam are sent out from our system (including unsolicited mass mailings), it can result in our mail server being blacklisted. That would result in messages from our mail server being rejected by most reputable organizations because at that point our mail server is a known origin of spam. In essence, without these measures in place, a single customer could cause the email service of all the businesses we serve to be interrupted. This might not even be due to a deliberate action on the part of said customer; often viruses and other malware can "take over" a host computer and use it to bombard people with spam.
Should you need to send out mass mailings to your customers, we have two solutions we can offer:
We offer an alternative email package, at an increased cost, that allows this.
We offer an "opt-in" newsletter system that allows you to send mass mailings out to all of your customers that have signed up for it.
If you are interested in either of the above options, please contact our sales department at sales@idmi.net.
