Connect With a Support Technician

Setting up Mail for Windows Vista.

  1. Open Windows Vista Mail.
  2. From the menu, select Tools -> Accounts.

Vista Mail Tools

  1. Click the “Add” button.

Add Internet Account

  1. Select “E-mail Account” from the list and click “Next”.

E-Mail Account Type

  1. Enter your name in the space provided and click “Next”.

Provide Display Name

  1. Enter your e-mail address in the space provided and click “Next”.

E-Mail Address

  1. Make sure that “POP3” is selected from the drop-down menu.
  2. Enter mail.idmi.net in both the incoming and outgoing server fields.
  3. Check the box next to “Outgoing server requires authentication”.

E-Mail Servers

  1. Enter your full e-mail address in the “E-mail username” field.
  2. Enter your e-mail password in the “Password” field.
  3. Click “Next”.

Internet Mail Logon

  1. Click “Finish”.

Congratulations Dialog Box

14. Highlight the account you just created and click the "Properties" button.

15. Click the "Advanced" tab.

16. Change the number in the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" field to "587".

17. Click "OK" and then "Close".
