Making the Most of Your IDMI.Net Email Account

We at IDMI.Net want you to make the most of the products we offer, and that includes our email services. We have created thorough guides to setting up and using your email, available here. But to give you a quick preview, we’ll hit on some topics you may find interesting, beginning with some underutilized features that can make your email experience significantly better.

• Auto responder: Setting an auto responder can be extremely useful if you will be out of the office, whether it’s just for a day or for an extended vacation. Under the Settings tab, click My Settings then select Auto-Responder. Here you can turn on the auto responder, limit responses to once daily or indirect mail, and edit the message you wish to be sent with your auto response. This feature is more reliable than the similar auto responder offered in Microsoft Outlook because your computer doesn’t have to be running for it to work.
• Sending from multiple accounts: Our email service allows you to send messages from multiple accounts within the same interface. To do this, you will need to set up SMTP accounts, under your Advanced Settings tab. In the popup screen, insert the information requested, then test your connection before saving it as another account. Once you get back to the main page, that new account should be visible. When you create and send a new message, a dropdown menu will allow you to choose which email address the message will be sent from.
• Clearing space: Our email client makes it easy for you to clean out your inboxes and save space. You can, for example, clean out any unwanted email addresses and the messages they have received, or can set up Folder Auto-Clean, which will keep selected folders up to date by deleting all messages older than a specific date. Keep in mind, however, that this will permanently delete messages, so if you wish to maintain that data you should engage in regular information backups.
